By 6pm the day-tripper crowds have left and the beach opens up. Fewer people in the water means more space, cleaner conditions, and a lesson environment that feels genuinely peaceful.

South Fistral in the evening is a completely different experience to the busy daytime beach. The cliffs provide shelter, the waves are clean and well-formed, and by 6pm the beach is quiet enough to feel like your own private break. One of the most iconic settings in British surfing - all to yourself.
Gwithian, Hayle

Gwithian is one of our favourite evening locations. Facing west across St Ives Bay, the beach catches the full sweep of the evening sun - the Godrevy Lighthouse silhouetted in the distance, the dunes glowing amber, and the Atlantic rolling in clean and consistent. Evening sessions here are genuinely extraordinary.

All sunset lessons are 2 hours long starting at 6pm until the sun goes down. Beginners, improvers and intermediates are all welcome! All equipment is provided, just bring your swim kit and a towel and we’ll provide the rest. Every Sunset Session is run by Jack, your ISA-qualified instructor and qualified lifeguard. Same expert coaching, same high standards - just a far more beautiful backdrop.
