The Blueprint surf coaching programme
A structured private surf coaching programme in Cornwall for those who want to actually improve, with video analysis after every session and a plan built around you.
Most surfers plateau. The Blueprint fixes that.
You get in the water. You catch waves. You feel like you're improving. Then six months later you realise you're doing the same old habits, in exactly the same way.
The problem isn't effort, it's direction. Without a clear structure, a coach who knows where you're going and real feedback after every session, you're just practising the same habits on repeat.
The promise
By the end of the Blueprint, you'll surf differently.
Not marginally better. Differently. You'll understand why you catch or miss waves, what your body is doing wrong and how to fix it, and what to work on every single time you paddle out, with or without a coach.
Two tracks, one system
The Blueprint is designed for two types of surfer. Both tracks follow the same coaching structure: assessment, targeted correction, progression plan, video analysis and handover. The destination is different.
From first pop-up to green waves
Who it's for
Surfers who are brand new, or who have had a lesson or two but can't consistently get to their feet. You may have surfed before, but without the proper technique.
Where you'll be by the end
Paddling into green waves, getting to your feet with correct technique, reading basic wave patterns and surfing independently and with confidence.
The journey
- Ocean safety
- Consistent pop-up
- Whitewater control
- Green wave entry
- Independent surfing
From stalled progress to surfing with intent
Who it's for
Surfers riding green waves, but inconsistently. You make some waves, miss others and don't fully understand why. Progress has stalled, and turns are accidental instead of deliberate.
Where you'll be by the end
Surfing with intent. Understanding every wave you ride and every turn you make. Real technique, not survival instincts.
The journey
- Diagnostic assessment
- Core technique fix
- Wave reading
- Speed and trim
- Deliberate turning
- Independent performance
Every session has a purpose
Blueprint 6 is the full programme: every milestone is hit, with more application, more consolidation and two additional layers, fluid turning and confident surfing. For a more condensed approach, Blueprint 3 covers every core milestone in a shorter format.
- 01
Assessment: find what's holding you back
Jack observes your natural surfing before saying a word, and video is filmed throughout. This is the diagnostic: everything is built from it.
- 02
Identifying the weakness: drilling the fix
The single biggest limiting factor is targeted and drilled with real-time feedback. Video comparison from session one shows the change as it happens.
- 03
Breakthrough: technique becomes automatic
Corrections stop being conscious and start being instinctive. The next technical layer is introduced, and wave reading and positioning come into focus.
- 04
Pressure: pushing your limits
Technique is pushed into more challenging conditions. What's genuinely locked in becomes clear, and so does what still needs work before the final session.
- 05
Refinement: adding the finishing touches
A full overview of your technique and competency in the water, leaving no stone unturned.
- 06
Handover: the final session and your surfing plan
A full transformation video, session one against session six, and a written handover document: your independent practice plan, what to focus on and what to work towards next.
How it works between sessions
The coaching doesn't stop when you leave the water.
Video analysis and session notes
You receive video clips of your surfing via WhatsApp, with a written or voice note breakdown of exactly what to take away. Then written session notes with your 2 to 3 personal focus points.
You're not on your own
WhatsApp and email support is available throughout the full programme. Ask questions, share clips and check in on your progress. Jack responds.
