If you're looking for a group activity in Cornwall that everyone can join, surfing is hard to beat. Nobody needs experience, and the laughs start with the first wipeout. The only requirement is being able to swim 25 metres unaided.

Corporate team days and team building
Take your team off-site and into the water. A surf session is one of the most memorable team-building activities in the South West, and a level playing field where the newest recruit can out-surf the boss. No experience needed and all equipment provided.

Every group lesson is private and lasts 2 hours. It's £100 for the first surfer and £30 for each extra person, up to 8. For groups of 9 to 16, get in touch and we'll send you a quote.

What to expect from your group surf lesson

We pick the best beach for the day
As a mobile surf school, we check the forecast and choose the Cornish beach with the best conditions for your group, from South Fistral in Newquay to Gwithian in St Ives Bay.

Everyone gets kitted out
We provide everything: wetsuits, surfboards, boots and gloves. Just bring swimwear and a towel.

Coaching for every level at once
Mixed abilities are completely normal. We assess everyone at the start and coach each person at their own level, so complete beginners and people who've surfed before can share the same session.

Two hours of catching waves together
The focus is on building confidence, catching waves and creating an experience your whole group will remember.

Stag dos in Newquay often start at South Fistral, one of the UK's most iconic surf beaches. Staying further west? Gwithian in St Ives Bay has room for big groups and long runs of gentle white water. We also teach on the south coast when the conditions suit.

How many people can join a group surf lesson?
We run private group surf lessons for up to 16 people. Groups of up to 8 can book online. For 9 to 16 people, get in touch and we'll send a quote.
How much do group surf lessons cost?
A private 2-hour lesson is £100 for the first person and £30 for each extra person, up to 8. For example, 6 people pay £250 in total (about £42 each) and 8 people pay £310 (about £39 each). Groups of 9 to 16 are quoted on request.
How far in advance should we book a group session?
We recommend at least 2 to 4 weeks for groups of 9 or more, and as early as possible for summer stag and hen bookings, because peak weekends fill up fast. Get in touch as soon as you have a date in mind.
Can you run stag surf lessons in Newquay?
Yes. We regularly run stag surf lessons in Newquay at South Fistral, one of the UK's most iconic surf beaches and a brilliant backdrop for a stag do.
What if our group has mixed abilities?
That's completely normal and we're well set up for it. We assess everyone at the start and adapt the coaching, so complete beginners and people who've surfed before can be in the same session.
